Hardware info on OCS 2.8.1 Server is missing

Question

I am having issues on my installation.  I am running an Ubuntu 18.04.5 LTS (no interest in upgrading to 20)

• PHP 7.2.34
• Apache/2.4.29 (Ubuntu)
• Ubuntu 18.04 version 10.1.47-MariaDB-0ubuntu0.18.04.1
• OCS Server V 2.8.1

I was running an older version of OCS and I didnt have any problems until I upgraded.

Can somebody provide steps on how to fix this?  I need hardware information.  Serial number is very important.

Got it to work.  However, do I really need to reinstall OCS agent so it could communicate again with the server for the hardware settings?

I notice that after I performed the patch, only the newly installed agents are updating to the server.  I would need to reinstall the agent again so it would send the hardware settings to the server.

At the same time, connected user is missing from the inventory report.

Connected user also missing from time to time .. agent 2.05 which always reports to the server 2.1.2 .. the same agent does not always report the connected user to server 2.8.1

so i think it is depending on server .

But i do not know if "connected user" means also "last user" which was logged on to a client .. and the client perhaps is in "logon screen" where nobody is logged in.

maybe the client is able to differentiate
